Fast-rising Nigerian comedian Ejiro, popularly known as Anointed Mouth, has officially announced his debut headline comedy special titled Parables of Joy: My Take, set to hold in Lagos on August 9, 2026.

Ejiro Anointed Mouth comedy special marks a significant milestone in the entertainer’s career, as he transitions into a more prominent phase within Nigeria’s competitive comedy scene.

The event will take place at Velvet Place, Hotel Helen, with a red carpet session scheduled for 5:00 p.m., followed by the main performance an hour later.

Positioned as a premium entertainment experience, the show will combine stand-up comedy, storytelling and satire, with themes drawn from everyday Nigerian life, culture and social realities.

Organisers describe it as a production designed to entertain while also delivering meaningful reflection.

Ejiro said the special represents growth and consistency in his journey, describing it as his first official comedy special after several previous shows.

He noted that the performance is built around relatability, with a focus on connecting audiences to shared experiences through humour and narrative expression.

The event will feature appearances from prominent comedians including Klint da Drunk, Gordons, Forever, Femi Barbs and Larry Jay, alongside a special musical performance by celebrated singer Timi Dakolo.

Industry observers say the show reflects the increasing demand for high-quality live comedy experiences in Lagos, a city widely regarded as the hub of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Tickets are priced at ₦50,000 under the Royalty category, with limited availability expected to heighten anticipation ahead of the event.
