Teju Babyface cheating advice stirs backlash as he urges men not to confess infidelity, claiming such honesty causes pain and serves no purpose in marriage

Teju Babyface cheating advice has sparked widespread controversy following comments made by the popular Nigerian comedian and television host on his YouTube channel.

In a candid video posted on Monday, Teju Babyface advised men — particularly husbands — never to confess to cheating on their partners, describing such admissions as “catastrophic” and emotionally damaging.

“If you cheat on your wife, don’t tell her. Don’t confess. Do not ever do it,” he warned, insisting that confessing infidelity rarely brings healing but instead inflicts unnecessary pain on the betrayed spouse.

The comedian, best known for The Teju Babyface Show, argued that confessions are often rooted in selfishness rather than honesty. “

What you’re really doing is shedding the weight of your guilt, not helping your spouse. You’re looking for someone else to carry the burden of your wrongdoing,” he said.

Referencing his own past, Teju admitted to cheating in a serious relationship before marriage — a mistake he later confessed to but now regrets.

“That was not honesty — that was cowardice,” he said, explaining that the confession served more as an escape route than a moral act.

Teju further challenged the popular view that biblical teachings demand confession to one’s partner.

“Repentance is to God, not man,” he said, adding that using religious justification to confess affairs is often a misinterpretation.

His remarks have ignited heated debate online, with critics accusing him of promoting dishonesty and undermining trust in relationships.

Others, however, echoed his views, citing examples where confessions worsened situations or led to breakups.

Teju Babyface cheating advice continues to trend on social media, especially among relationship counsellors, faith-based groups, and fans of the entertainer who are divided on whether brutal honesty in relationships always leads to better outcomes.

Despite the backlash, the comedian doubled down, saying that while confession may offer personal relief, it often leaves spouses with long-lasting emotional scars.

“There is no benefit to your spouse when you confess. All the benefits are yours,” he concluded.
