The singer made the disclosure while speaking about his financial needs and the notable personalities who live around his neighbourhood.

According to Mr Eazi, his area is home to several prominent figures, including Formula 1 drivers, tennis players and footballers.

He explained that the concentration of celebrities in the neighbourhood means he could easily encounter famous athletes in his daily routine.

“I dropped my recent song because I’m looking for money to pay my rent. I live around Formula 1 drivers, tennis players and even footballers. I could just decide to go downstairs and cross paths with Paul Pogba,” he said.

The comment has generated interest among fans, particularly because of the contrast between Mr Eazi’s successful music career and his candid admission about needing money for rent.

The singer, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, has built an international career through his blend of Afrobeats and Ghanaian highlife influences.

His latest revelation also offers a glimpse into the less glamorous realities that can sometimes accompany life in the entertainment industry, where public success does not necessarily eliminate everyday financial obligations.

Mr Eazi has continued to release music while maintaining interests outside music, including business and investments.

His comments about his neighbourhood also highlight the unusual social environment surrounding some high-profile entertainers, where encounters with internationally recognised athletes can become part of everyday life.
