Temi Nkem is the BBNaija Season 11 winner after securing 25.87% of votes and claiming the N160m prize package in a dramatic finale
Temi Nkem, whose real name is Temitope Chigbue, has been crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11, “Show Ya Sef”, after a dramatic live finale on Sunday, 4 October 2026, in which she emerged ahead of Aikou and Sheba to claim the N160 million prize package.
The 21-year-old secured 25.87 per cent of the total votes cast by viewers in Nigeria and across Africa, finishing ahead of Aikou, who polled 23.68 per cent, and Sheba, who recorded 9.80 per cent.
Temi’s victory brought 70 days of nominations, tasks, evictions, relationships, rivalries and unexpected twists to an end, completing her journey from one of 24 housemates to the final name called on the grandest night of the season.
Her prize package is valued at N160 million. The package includes N90 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and additional sponsored prizes.
The cash component was adjusted from the originally announced N100 million after N10 million was allocated to the Most Influential Player of the Week prize fund.
The result also places Temi among the female winners in the history of Big Brother Naija, making her the fifth woman to claim the show’s top prize.
The finale unfolded through a series of rapid eliminations as the nine remaining housemates were gradually reduced to the final three.
Barry, whose real name is Muudumbari Pop-Yornwin, was the first finalist to leave the competition.
The 25-year-old Rivers State native had enjoyed a particularly influential late run, winning the Head of House title twice and securing the Ultimate Veto Power.
Barry’s most notable strategic moment came when he used the power to grant immunity to all the housemates, cancelling the planned eviction and helping shape the final stage of the competition.
Oyin, whose real name is Oyindamola Oshikoya, followed Barry out of the competition.
The 22-year-old Ogun State native had combined her work as a sales entrepreneur and model with a visible presence throughout the season.
Ricky, whose real name is Patrick Jumbo, was the next finalist evicted. The 33-year-old Rivers State native, a writer and filmmaker, had remained in the competition until the decisive final night.
Flora Egbedi, a 30-year-old Delta State native, was then shown the exit. The makeup entrepreneur, content creator and bridal services business owner had been one of the season’s distinctive personalities.
Tram, whose real name is Joshua Alekewumu, followed. The 24-year-old Lagos State streamer, content creator, author, YouTuber and entrepreneur had survived several difficult stages of the competition before his late-night exit.
Bluethopia, whose real name is Usaku/Keren Bantai, was the final housemate eliminated before the decisive three-way contest.
The 22-year-old photographer, model and student from Adamawa State had remained part of the competition until the closing stages.
Her departure left Temi, Aikou and Sheba as the final three housemates.
Aikou, popularly known as the “Professor”, finished as the first runner-up after securing 23.68 per cent of the vote. Sheba took the second runner-up position with 9.80 per cent.
Aikou’s journey was one of the more unusual stories of the season. He initially entered the competition as a Gambit housemate, a twist that placed him and Flora under special conditions before their status changed and they became eligible to compete for the grand prize.
His calm disposition, strategic thinking and cerebral approach earned him the “Professor” nickname and helped distinguish him from the more overtly expressive personalities in the house.
Sheba, meanwhile, developed a strong presence through her confidence, relationships and participation in the competition’s tasks and leadership moments.
For Temi, the route to the finale included one of the season’s more memorable twists.
At one stage, Big Brother subjected her to a fake eviction, briefly creating uncertainty over whether her time in the house had ended.
She survived the twist and returned to the competition, eventually progressing all the way to the final night.
Her personality became one of the defining features of the season. Temi’s spontaneity, entertainment value and willingness to engage in the house’s many conversations kept her visible as the competition intensified.
Her eventual victory suggests that the connection she built with viewers translated into strong support when the final votes were counted.
The season itself began with 24 housemates and featured a succession of evictions and twists over 70 days.
The competition also recorded unusual developments, including disqualifications and a voluntary exit, adding further uncertainty to the route towards the finale.
One of the major twists was the Gambit format involving Aikou and Flora.
The arrangement initially guaranteed the pair a place in the finale while restricting their eligibility for the grand prize. Their status was later changed, allowing them to compete for the title.
Another major moment came late in the competition when Keivo was disqualified following a physical confrontation with Tram. His removal reduced the field to nine finalists ahead of the grand finale.
The final show also featured live performances from Nigerian singers Teni and Oshamo, while Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returned as host for the climactic announcement.
The finale brought together the remaining housemates, their supporters and viewers across Nigeria and Africa for the final verdict after weeks in which public voting determined who would remain in contention.
When the final figures were revealed, Temi had the highest share of the vote.
Her 25.87 per cent was enough to put her ahead of Aikou by 2.19 percentage points and secure the Season 11 crown.
Temi’s win also marks the latest chapter in the long-running Big Brother Naija franchise, which has turned reality television contestants into prominent figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
For the new champion, however, the significance of Sunday night’s result goes beyond the title.
After 70 days of competition, she leaves the Big Brother house as the latest holder of the BBNaija crown, with a N160 million prize package and a new chapter of public attention beginning outside the house.
The “Show Ya Sef” season has ended with Temi Nkem at the top, Aikou as first runner-up and Sheba as second runner-up.
