Keivo was disqualified from the ongoing “Show Ya Sef” season after a physical altercation with fellow housemate Tram during the final week of the competition.

In a statement shared on his X account on Thursday, Keivo expressed gratitude to God, Big Brother, MultiChoice, his family, friends and supporters for standing by him during his time in the house.

Addressing the incident that brought his BBNaija journey to an abrupt end, Keivo said he had taken time to reflect on what happened and accepted full responsibility.

“I’ve had some time to reflect on everything that happened and I take full responsibility for my actions. My emotions took the best of me,” he said.

The former housemate acknowledged that physical confrontation was not an appropriate response, regardless of how strongly he felt about the situation.

“Regardless of how strongly I felt, physical confrontation is never a solution to any situation. And I take full responsibility for my actions,” he added.

Keivo also promised to learn from the experience and become a better person.

“I will learn, become better, and do my very best to make you proud of Keivo the Challenger, the Competitor, the man of many talents, the son of Grace, the VICTOR,” he said.

The reality TV star thanked Big Brother and MultiChoice for giving him the opportunity to participate in the show.

He described his time in the house as an experience he would not take for granted, particularly the opportunity to share his story and connect with viewers.

“Being in the house, sharing my story, connecting with amazing people and showing myself, I will never take that for granted,” he said.

Keivo also expressed appreciation to his family, friends and supporters who prayed, voted and supported him throughout the competition.

“To my family, friends and supporters who worked tirelessly, prayed, voted, and stood by me with the hope of seeing me become a finalist, thank you,” he said.

He added that their investment of time, resources, emotions and love in his journey meant a lot to him.

Reflecting on his BBNaija experience, Keivo said he entered the show hoping Nigerians would get to know him.

“I came into Big Brother’s house hoping Nigerians would see who I am. I leave knowing that millions of people did,” he said.

He thanked viewers for supporting him at his best moments and for holding him accountable following his actions.

The former housemate also asked God for “mercy, wisdom, grace, and strength” as he begins what he described as a new chapter.

“I trust that he has a purpose for every chapter, including this one. I will continue to trust him,” he said.

Keivo concluded his message by appreciating members of the Big Brother community and promising to make his supporters proud.

“The beginning of a new chapter. Happy Independence Day Nigeria,” he wrote.

Big Brother disqualified Keivo on Tuesday after a disagreement with Tram escalated into physical violence.

According to the official account from the show, Big Brother identified Keivo as the perpetrator and ordered his removal from the competition.

The dispute reportedly began over a black shirt that Tram claimed belonged to him. Keivo denied taking the shirt and became upset over the accusation before the disagreement escalated. PUNCH reported that Keivo threw the first punch during the confrontation.

Following the incident, Big Brother reminded the remaining housemates that disagreements were inevitable but that violence was not an acceptable response.

Keivo’s disqualification came just days before the scheduled October 4 finale of the “Show Ya Sef” season.
