Nigerian streamer Peller reflects on his past online controversies while reacting to the public clashes involving VDM, Carter Efe, Davido and Zlatan
LAGOS, Nigeria, 5 November 2026 — Nigerian streamer and content creator Peller has taken a swipe at VeryDarkMan, Carter Efe, Davido and Zlatan Ibile, joking that he now watches their online disagreements from a more peaceful distance.
In a video reportedly recorded in Canada, Peller reflected on his own history of social media controversies and wondered whether audiences had viewed him in the same way when he was frequently involved in online arguments.
“I’m in Canada now, living a peaceful life and watching VeryDarkMan, Carter Efe, Davido and Zlatan fighting themselves online,” he said.
He added that watching the latest exchanges had made him think about his own past behaviour, asking: “Is this how people used to watch me when I was also fooling myself online?”
The remark was widely interpreted as a playful dig at the four entertainers, with Peller suggesting he had moved beyond the kind of online drama that once kept him in the spotlight.
His comments came as tensions involving VeryDarkMan, Davido, Zlatan and Carter Efe continued to attract attention on social media.
On 4 November, VeryDarkMan challenged Davido’s camp to provide evidence of claims that the singer had supported him in the past, while also warning Zlatan over a viral video of Davido singing along to a lyric perceived by some viewers as a jab at the activist.
Carter Efe has also been involved in the dispute, with reports describing heated livestream exchanges and provocative remarks directed at VeryDarkMan.
Peller’s comments prompted a range of reactions online. Some users praised the streamer for what they saw as a humorous observation, while others suggested he was positioning himself as having outgrown the controversies that previously surrounded him.
The comments also sparked jokes about whether Peller had gained a new perspective after travelling abroad, with some social media users interpreting his statement as a reminder of how online feuds can look to outsiders.
Peller, whose rise to prominence has been closely tied to livestreaming and viral moments, did not appear to offer a detailed explanation of his remarks beyond reflecting on his own past involvement in online drama.
