Davido’s Black Music Walk of Fame 2026 induction announced as the Afrobeats superstar joins global icons honoured in Atlanta, Georgia

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been announced as an inductee for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Davido celebrated at Black Music Walk of fame 2026 recognition was confirmed by organisers ahead of the induction ceremony scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside.

The honour places the Nigerian music star among global figures being recognised for their impact on Black culture, music, and entertainment worldwide.

Other inductees for the 2026 class include Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris, gospel singer Paul Morton, and former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson.

Davido now joins a growing list of African artistes previously celebrated by the organisation, including late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame, established by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to Black entertainment globally.

Inductees are honoured with plaques placed along a dedicated walkway in Atlanta as a symbol of their cultural impact.

Davido’s recognition comes as he marks 15 years in the music industry, a milestone he recently acknowledged on social media.

“God is the best of all planners! 15 years in da game,” he wrote, reflecting on his journey.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido began his professional music career in 2011 and rose to prominence with his breakout hit “Dami Duro” from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo.

Over the years, he has released multiple successful albums including A Good Time, A Better Time, Timeless, and 5ive, cementing his place as one of Afrobeats’ leading global voices.

His career has also earned him numerous international awards and Grammy nominations, further strengthening his global influence in music.
