Motunde Breaks Silence On False Pregnancy Rumour with Mr Macaroni

Motunde Pregnancy Rumour has been addressed at last by actress Omotunde Sogunle, popularly known for her role as Motunde in Mr Macaroni’s widely loved comedy skits.

In a candid new interview, she has opened up about the emotional toll a false scandal once took on her career and wellbeing.
The actress recalled being devastated by rumours that she had gotten pregnant for her on-screen collaborator, Mr Macaroni, and had allegedly terminated the pregnancy.
The baseless claims, she said, spread quickly online, causing significant emotional damage and confusion.
“They said I got pregnant for my on-screen daddy, Mr. Macaroni, and that I aborted the pregnancy. I was shocked,” she said. “When did that happen? It is not possible. Must there be such a thing between people in a working relationship?”
The scandal, according to Motunde, struck deeply because of the mutual respect and close professional bond she shares with the comedian. Rather than respond publicly at the time, she chose to remain silent — a decision she says she learned from Mr Macaroni himself.
“One of the things I have learned from Mr. Macaroni is to keep your silence for your own peace,” she added. “The more you come out to counter false claims, the longer the matter drags, and you will have to keep explaining.”
Despite the heartbreak the rumour caused, the actress says she has since learned to focus on her work and inner peace, choosing not to be defined by hearsay.
Her decision to speak now, she says, is not to reignite the rumour, but to encourage others facing false accusations in the public eye.
The Motunde Pregnancy Rumour marks yet another example of the pressures Nigerian public figures, particularly women, face in a climate where professional partnerships are too often sexualised or misunderstood.
