The evening marked a creative collaboration between the award-winning singer and renowned visual artist Victor Ehikhamenor, as they brought to life the essence of Adekunle Gold’s new album, Fuji — a sonic love letter to Nigeria’s musical roots.

Hosted by Unilever Nigeria Plc, makers of Knorr, the event served as a fusion of taste and tradition, with guests treated to dishes inspired by the themes of Fuji. Each meal was curated to reflect the emotion and rhythm of Adekunle Gold’s songs, bridging the gap between food and feeling.

Speaking on the collaboration, Damilola Dania, Food Demand Creation Lead at Unilever, said the aim was to celebrate the rich layers of Nigerian identity.

“Knorr has always been part of our everyday lives. This partnership was about honouring our shared stories — through our food, our art, our music, and above all, our culture,” she remarked.

Adekunle Gold’s performance featured standout tracks from Fuji, including Don Corleone, Coco Money, and Many Many People. The artist described the project as deeply personal, rooted in childhood memories and cultural pride.

“Fuji is part of the soundtrack of my life,” he said. “I grew up buying Knorr Chicken cubes, so singing ‘O dun bi Knorr Chicken’ in Don Corleone comes from a very real place. This collaboration feels like coming full circle.”

Adding a visual dimension to the night, Victor Ehikhamenor unveiled a commissioned piece inspired by Fuji and Knorr’s cultural imprint.

The artwork, displayed in an intimate gallery space, symbolised the emotional connection between Nigeria’s culinary and creative heritage.

The night reached its crescendo as Adekunle Gold performed fan favourites like Ogaranya and Pick Up, wrapping the evening in a wave of nostalgia, rhythm, and warmth. Guests left not only entertained but reminded of the power of shared experiences.
