Nollywood actress Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, has categorically denied allegations that she exchanged sexual favours for movie roles, insisting her success is the result of hard work and perseverance.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, the actress, who is a widow and mother of two daughters, reflected on her early struggles and financial independence.

Kemity revealed that she owned two wine shops and worked as a receptionist at the Masters Hotel in Ayobo while pursuing her acting dreams.

“There is something I need to clear respectfully. Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise. I have never used my body to collect a movie role,” she wrote, emphasising the importance of discipline, diligence, and family values.

Kemity also encouraged upcoming actresses to avoid shortcuts in the industry, warning that quick paths to fame often come with long-term consequences.

Her journey, she said, was built on perseverance, learning, and God’s grace, not questionable decisions.
