Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has raised an alarm over the wellbeing of filmmaker Belinda Onyinye after she shared a disturbing post on social media suggesting emotional distress.

Belinda Onyinye, known online as Thespian Belinda, had earlier posted a message urging fans, followers, and colleagues not to reach out to her, stating that she “just wants to be gone.”

The post immediately sparked concern across social media, with many expressing worry over her mental and emotional state.

Reacting swiftly, Rotimi Salami appealed for urgent attention, stating that he attempted to contact the filmmaker but was unable to reach her as her phone was switched off.

Rotimi Salami asked whether anyone knew where she lived or had contact with someone close to her, urging those nearby to check on her wellbeing.

The actor described the situation as worrying, especially as her recent posts appeared suggestive of distress.

“Does anyone know who lives with @thespian_belinda or lives close to her? She posted this just now, and I tried calling her number immediately, but it’s switched off. Is there anyone who can help check on her? I am worried,” he wrote.

His call triggered immediate reactions from colleagues in the industry.

Actress Faithia Williams expressed concern, writing that she hoped she was safe, while Olayinka Solomon noted that her phone appeared unreachable. Actress Adewunmi Fatai also confirmed that her line was off.
