Priscilla Ojo Stands Firm On Son’s Privacy Amid Online Backlash

Priscilla Ojo hides son’s face and defends her choice, saying she will reveal him only when she feels ready

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, influencer Priscilla Ojo, has firmly defended her decision to keep her son’s face off social media, stating that criticism from online users will not influence her parenting choices.

Priscilla Ojo, speaking during a podcast conversation with TikToker Jarvis, said she remained unbothered by ongoing backlash and would continue to protect her child’s identity until she deemed it appropriate to reveal him.

The influencer made it clear that the decision was entirely hers.

She stated that her son’s privacy comes first and emphasised that she would only share his face when she felt comfortable doing so.

The stance mirrors a similar response from media personality Toke Makinwa, who recently addressed a social media user accusing her of being performative for limiting what she shows of her daughter online.

Makinwa dismissed the criticism as excessive, urging individuals to focus on their own choices rather than scrutinising others.

Priscilla concealing son’s identity has become a talking point among followers, particularly given her openness in sharing aspects of motherhood.

In February, she marked her son’s six-month milestone with a heartfelt video, expressing gratitude and describing him as a source of immense joy.

She has also shared updates on his development, noting that her son, Rakeem, had begun crawling, sitting, and attempting to stand.

In one widely shared moment, she expressed delight when he called her “Mama” for the first time.

Priscilla and her partner, Juma Jux, welcomed their son, Prince Raheem Ayomide Mkambala, in August last year.

The couple later hosted a family gathering in Tanzania to celebrate his 40th day, followed by additional milestones including his third month.

Beyond social media highlights, Priscilla has spoken candidly about her postpartum journey, describing the intense experience of labour and the strong support system provided by her mother and actress Lola Alao.

Despite the scrutiny, Priscilla’s position remains resolute.

Her approach reflects a growing trend among public figures choosing to set firm boundaries around their children’s visibility in the digital space, prioritising privacy over public curiosity.
