Peller defends wife Jarvis after Carter Efe’s remarks, saying she paid about $20,000 for her surgery herself and remains financially independent
Nigerian content creator and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has defended his wife, Elizabeth Amadu, known as Jarvis, after fellow streamer Carter Efe made remarks comparing their relationships and partners.
Peller responded to Carter Efe in a social media exchange after Carter praised his girlfriend, Jasmine, while making comments about Peller’s relationship with Jarvis.
The remarks prompted Peller to defend his marriage and reject suggestions that his wife’s value or financial independence should be measured by what he spends on her.
Peller said he has no problem spending money on Jarvis because he loves and appreciates her. He also stressed that his wife is financially independent and can meet her own personal needs.
The content creator claimed that Jarvis recently paid for her own surgery, putting the cost at about $20,000.
“My wife have her money and she still fine join. I appreciate her with a car,” Peller said.
He further argued that buying gifts for his wife was his personal way of expressing affection rather than an attempt to compete with Carter Efe or his relationship.
Peller also criticised Carter over what he described as an attitude of discouraging partners from working while relying on income generated through streaming.
For Peller, financial gestures within a relationship should not necessarily be interpreted as evidence that one partner is dependent on the other.
He maintained that Jarvis has her own means and that his decision to spend money on her reflects his affection rather than an obligation.
“That one na less wetin I go use appreciate her next,” he said, adding that his future gifts could include another major purchase.
Peller also objected to comments directed at Jarvis and urged Carter to respect his wife.
The dispute reflects the increasingly public nature of relationships involving Nigerian social media personalities, where personal relationships, financial independence and displays of affection frequently become subjects of online discussion.
Both Peller and Carter Efe have built sizeable audiences through digital entertainment and livestreaming, making their personal exchanges capable of attracting considerable attention across social media.
While Peller’s claim about the $20,000 surgery has not been independently verified, he presented it as an example of Jarvis’s financial independence and ability to take care of significant personal expenses herself.
He concluded his response by describing Jarvis as “the best” and insisting that his appreciation for his wife should not be viewed through comparisons with another man’s relationship.
