Falz Decries Tribal, Religious Divisions in Nigeria

Falz laments rising tribal and religious divisions in Nigeria, urging citizens to unite and reject manipulation by leaders.

Reacting to a post by fellow entertainer Nasboi, who called on Nigerians to unite beyond ethnic and religious boundaries and hold leaders accountable, Falz described the deepening divide as “depressing.”

The outspoken artiste said it was disheartening to see politicians and influential figures exploit identity differences to sow disunity.

“I cannot begin to explain how depressing it has been in recent years, seeing tribal and religious sentiments still being used to turn us against each other. At some point, we need to start thinking for ourselves,” Falz wrote.

His comments come amid rising online clashes between Christian and Muslim youths following former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent threat to take military action against Nigeria over alleged persecution of Christians.

Falz, who has long used his platform to advocate for justice and social reform, urged Nigerians to reject emotional manipulation and focus on collective progress rather than division.
