Odumodublvck Speaks on Year-Long Personal Crisis

Odumodublvck reveals a year-long personal crisis, condemning industry leaders for ignoring online abuse and threats against someone close to him.

Odumodublvck has opened up about a prolonged personal crisis, alleging that someone close to him endured more than a year of online abuse, threats, and violations while key figures in the Nigerian music industry looked the other way.

In a heartfelt post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Declan Rice hitmaker said the matter had been distorted and trivialised by those seeking attention.

“The past few weeks have been heavy,” Odumodublvck wrote. “My friends and I have been painted in terrible lights, and a deeply personal and painful situation has been twisted into something it is not.”

He revealed that the unnamed individual had faced “ongoing online abuse, threats, and personal violations,” adding that several efforts were made to amplify the harassment. Watching the ordeal unfold publicly, he said, had been “deeply painful and frustrating.”

Rejecting attempts to label the saga as a “rap beef” or a publicity stunt, Odumodublvck said, “This issue has now been twisted to look like a ‘rap beef,’ a move to service someone’s career. Reducing a person’s hurt to entertainment is not only insensitive but deeply disrespectful.”

The rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, accused influential industry players of failing to act despite being aware of the situation.

“I reached out privately to people with the power and influence to intervene, including label heads, executives, and industry leaders,” he said. “But no one helped. Many chose to protect their interests, their artists, and their investments instead of standing up for the truth.”

He clarified that his eventual public response was motivated not by pride or rivalry, but by the need to defend someone who had been repeatedly targeted. “When it became clear that no one would protect her, I felt compelled to step in,” he explained.

“These actions were not driven by ego or pride, but by anger, frustration, and the need to defend someone I care about.”

Known for his bold, unfiltered voice in Nigeria’s hip-hop scene, Odumodublvck reiterated his commitment to honesty and accountability, even at the cost of personal relationships. “I’ve called out those I once respected because when it mattered most, they chose silence,” he said. “That is not leadership. That is not character.”

He concluded by declaring the matter closed, saying his focus is now on *“peace, closure, and moving forward.”
