Davido $11 million purchase claim, made on a Twitch livestream with Enzo, has split fans after the star refused to name what he bought

In the early hours of Monday, 21 September 2026, Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, told Twitch streamer Enzo during a live session that began on Sunday night that the Davido $11 million purchase was the largest single payment the singer had ever made.

David Adeleke did not say what the money bought. Asked for his biggest one-off outlay, and whether he still liked it or regretted it, the 33-year-old answered without a pause. “My highest and biggest one time purchase ever was $11 million,” David Adeleke said, later adding that it was “one time payment maybe 11 million.” Clips spread within hours.

The gap between the figure and the missing detail did the rest. Some listeners treated the line as a casual flex from a star long associated with high living.

Others asked whether the sum was real, what asset could justify it, and whether a public boast of that size was in good taste.

Context makes the guesswork noisy. David Adeleke comes from the Adeleke family, with business and political reach that fans often cite when wealth talk starts. Confirmed personal holdings are smaller than $11 million on their own.

A Banana Island apartment at the Giuliano De’ Medici was widely reported at about $1.5 million, with a separate island plot later put near ₦2.5 billion.

His car collection, including Rolls-Royce models and recent Ferraris, is valuable but not in that single-cheque range.

A Bombardier 7500 jet linked to family company Pacific Holdings Limited is in a different price band again, and is not recorded as David Adeleke’s personal aircraft.

The remark also arrived in a week already thick with money talk around David Adeleke, including chatter about new cars and a December residency at the National Theatre. None of that identifies the $11 million item.

Until David Adeleke names it, the Davido $11 million purchase remains a figure without a receipt, and the argument is less about accounting than about how openly a star should spend in public.
