VDM China scholarship: VeryDarkMan flies 18-year-old Smartician to China to complete his university admission and registration process

Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has flown with 18-year-old scholar Smartician to China to complete the teenager’s university admission and registration process after sponsoring his scholarship.

VeryDarkMan announced the journey on Wednesday, sharing a video of himself and Smartician before their departure from Nigeria.

The activist said he decided to accompany the teenager personally because his responsibilities as the scholarship sponsor extended beyond providing financial support.

“As the sponsor I have to take SMARTICIAN to China for his admission registration and other important documentation,” VeryDarkMan wrote.

He added jokingly, “I WILL BE A GOOD FATHER from the way I take Dey do.”

The trip fulfils a commitment VeryDarkMan made after Smartician attracted public attention online.

The activist had pledged to fund the teenager’s education in China, giving the 18-year-old an opportunity to pursue his studies abroad.

Rather than leaving the young scholar to navigate the admission process alone, VeryDarkMan chose to travel with him and oversee the required documentation.

The gesture quickly attracted attention online, with followers praising the activist for following through on his scholarship promise.

Singer Skales applauded the decision and expressed hope that Smartician would eventually extend the same kindness to others.

“God bless you brotherly… He will never forget this and he will help people to… this is amazing,” Skales wrote.

Actress Angela Okorie also reacted briefly, writing, “God bless.”
