Rita Daniels Regina Daniels update: Regina’s mother says the actress visited Ned Nwoko after being invited to see their children amid reconciliation rumours
Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has clarified her daughter’s recent visit to the residence of estranged husband Senator Ned Nwoko, saying Regina was invited to see their children amid renewed speculation that the couple had reconciled.
Rita addressed the speculation in a private conversation with actor Uche Maduagwu, who subsequently shared the exchange on Instagram.
The development followed reports that Regina had been seen at Nwoko’s residence over the weekend, prompting speculation on social media that the estranged couple could be rebuilding their relationship.
The reports also triggered reactions from some celebrities and supporters who had previously spoken publicly about the couple’s marital difficulties.
Among them was actor Stanley Ontop, a known supporter of Regina, who criticised the development and alleged that the actress had reconciled with Nwoko after supporters had backed her during the dispute.
Rita, however, offered a different explanation for the visit.
“It is well my dear. She was invited to see her children, that was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” she told Maduagwu.
Her response does not confirm that Regina and Nwoko have reconciled. Instead, it attributes the actress’s presence at Nwoko’s home to a visit involving their children.
The clarification comes against the backdrop of months of public interest in the couple’s relationship, which has frequently drawn attention across social media and within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Regina and Nwoko’s marriage has been the subject of intense public discussion, with developments involving the actress, the senator and their family often generating widespread reactions online.
The latest episode has again placed their private affairs under public scrutiny, particularly after supporters who previously defended Regina reacted strongly to reports of her visit.
Rita’s comments appear intended to temper those reactions by providing context for why Regina was at Nwoko’s residence.
For now, neither Regina nor Nwoko has publicly confirmed that the reported visit represents a reconciliation or a resumption of their marital relationship.
The distinction is significant, as a visit to see their children does not by itself establish that the couple have resolved the issues surrounding their separation.
As speculation continues, Rita’s explanation offers a more measured account of the encounter, while leaving the question of the couple’s relationship status unresolved.
