Nominations for the 2025 edition of the Trendupp Africa Awards have been unveiled, with an impressive lineup of Nigeria’s most influential digital creators and celebrities making the list.

The annual awards celebrate influencers, content creators, and brands making significant social and cultural contributions via social media.

This year’s nominees include chess advocate Tunde Onakoya, actress Bimbo Ademoye, comedian Sabinus, media personality Kie Kie, and Aproko Doctor, among many others.

The categories span various digital platforms and niches, from the Force of Instagram, Force of YouTube, and Force of Tech Content to specialised fields such as Force of Food Content, Comedy Skits, and Social Good.

In the Force of Influence (Nigeria) category, Kie Kie, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Veekee James, Cubana Chief Priest, Tunde Onakoya, and Aproko Doctor will battle for the top spot. Tunde Onakoya also appears in the Force of Social Good category, reinforcing his growing national impact.

Actresses Bimbo Ademoye, Ruth Kadiri, Omoni Oboli and Regina Daniels earned nominations under the Force of YouTube and Force of Online Sensation categories, further proving the crossover between Nollywood and digital storytelling.

Other trending figures such as Priscilla Ojo, Folagade Banks, Brain Jotter, and Peller made strong showings in categories focused on virality and TikTok innovation.

The awards will be judged by a panel including top Nigerian photographer Kelechi Amadi Obi, entertainment executive Sam Onyemelukwe, Ghanaian journalist Ameyaw Debrah, and Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
