The list, curated by Billboard staff, crowned 2Face’s African Queen as number one. Timaya’s Dem Mama, Weird MC’s Ijoya, and Olu Maintain’s Yahooze were also featured.

But Terry G’s chart-topping hits such as Akpako Master, Free Madness, and Run Mad were nowhere to be found, prompting the singer to voice his frustration.

Reacting to a post by music monitoring platform Chart Data, which reported African Queen as the top-ranked song, Terry G simply wrote: “TERRY G robbed.”

His reaction sparked heated debates online. While some fans backed him, insisting that his energetic contributions to street-pop deserved recognition, others argued that none of his tracks could rival the timeless legacy of African Queen.

The omission has reignited conversations about Afrobeats history, industry gatekeeping, and how global platforms choose to represent African music legends.
