Phyna has now strongly denied claims that she was overpowered during the chaotic brawl, insisting that she acted in self-defence.

The widely circulated clip shows a brief but intense confrontation reportedly sparked by a dispute over an unpaid debt of N200,000.

The scuffle began inside Phyna’s hotel room before escalating into a disorderly clash in the hotel lobby involving several associates.

Taking to Instagram, Phyna addressed the situation with a clear and defiant tone. She accused those involved of orchestrating an attack against her and accused the viral footage of being selectively edited to distort the real story.

Phyna emphasised that the woman she fought with was hospitalised and claimed she was attacked from behind while trying to leave the hotel. She urged followers to pray for the woman’s recovery, highlighting the seriousness of the confrontation.

“This was not a simple disagreement; it was a calculated ambush,” Phyna wrote. “The girl I confronted has yet to regain consciousness. This fight was about standing up against ongoing theft.”

This incident follows a difficult period for Phyna, who recently lost her sister, Ruth Otabor, in a tragic truck accident in August 2025. Despite this, Phyna has remained unyielding in defending her reputation amidst the controversy.
