Brazilian influencer Derleya Alves dies at 26 after complications from cosmetic surgery, leaving family, fans, and followers devastated

Brazilian social media influencer and content creator Derleya Alves has died at the age of 26 after suffering severe complications from a cosmetic surgery procedure, the Marabá Municipal Hospital confirmed.

Alves passed away on Saturday, 28 February 2026, following a breast augmentation surgery performed on 20 February.

According to reports, she developed acute abdominal pain after the procedure, prompting medical staff to perform two additional surgeries to repair her intestines and remove one ovary.

Doctors later discovered a possible congenital intestinal abnormality, which may have contributed to her condition.

Local news outlets noted that there is no suspicion of malpractice, although the official cause of death remains under review.

A biopsy report is expected on 16 March, and details regarding the facility where the initial cosmetic procedure was carried out have not been confirmed.

In an emotional Instagram tribute posted on 2 March, Alves’ sister, Jessica Alves, described her sibling as “an incredible woman, with a big and generous heart, kind, charismatic, humble, full of joy, always smiling.” She added: “I will miss you so much, my capybara, you were and always will be my other half, my favourite person in the world.”

The wake and burial for Derleya Alves were held on 1 March 2026, as reported by local media outlet Portal Carajás Notícias.

The influencer’s final social media posts showed her mother assisting her during recovery and a prayer placed in God’s hands before her surgery.

Fans have taken to social media to mourn her passing. One Instagram user commented, “May God comfort the hearts of the family and friends ,” while another wrote, “It hurts so much to know that I won’t see her posts anymore”
