Paul Okoye, formerly part of the music duo P-Square, reacted to the circulating posts by sharing a screenshot of the report on social media and labelling it “Fake news!!!”.

Posts widely shared online alleged that the accuser had been convicted and jailed following legal proceedings linked to her allegations against the singer.

The controversy began in September 2025 when a woman identified online as Ayomide Agboola, known by the handle @chubbiedivah, published a series of allegations against the musician on social media.

In the posts, Ayomide Agboola accused Paul Okoye of cheating on his former wife, Anita Okoye, and further alleged that the singer raped or coerced a domestic worker.

Paul Okoye denied the accusation and warned that he would pursue legal action against the accuser.

In a strongly worded response shared online at the time, the singer said he would use every legal means available to challenge the claims.

“I will locate you; I will utilise every necessary means, authority, resources, and finances at my disposal. You shall confront the legal system; I will make you a cautionary example a scapegoat,” he wrote.

The allegations sparked widespread debate online, with fans and critics reacting strongly across social media platforms.

Subsequent reports indicated that the woman was arrested and arraigned in court after a police investigation into the allegations posted online.

The arraignment marked the beginning of formal legal proceedings in the case.
