The man, identified as Lawal Ademola, made the appeal during an interview with Dunmininu Kingdom, which was shared on Facebook on Monday.

Ademola called on the government, community leaders and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the investigation was conducted fairly, warning against biased judgments, victimisation or attempts to conceal relevant information.

“Please help us, our elders, as we seek a proper investigation into the death of Sodiq. You who are the government, our leaders, and the law, please enforce the law and empower the investigation so that there won’t be biased judgments or victimisation,” he said.

He added that nobody should be allowed to interfere with the investigation or cover up details surrounding the singer’s death, describing the incident as deeply painful for the family.

“Nobody should interfere or try to cover things up regarding Sodiq, because this has deeply affected us,” Ademola stated.

In a separate video, Ademola recounted his visit to ToluwaniSings’ residence, where he said he met some family members watching television.

He also spoke about disagreements among relatives over where the singer should be buried following his death.

According to him, he wanted ToluwaniSings to be buried at the house where he lived with his wife and children.

However, he said the singer’s wife opposed the proposal, explaining that she would find it difficult to live with the sight of her husband’s corpse at the residence, particularly with the children around.

Ademola said other relatives subsequently suggested that the singer be taken to Ikirun for burial, but the wife reportedly rejected that option as well, describing the location as too far.

The account adds another dimension to the family discussions surrounding the singer’s death and burial arrangements.

Ademola referred to the late musician as Sodiq, the name he was given at birth in his Muslim family.

ToluwaniSings’ death has attracted public attention, with questions raised about the circumstances leading to his passing.

Freelanews had earlier reported on October 14, 2026, that gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as ToluwaniSings, had reportedly died after slumping.

Subsequent reports quoted his personal assistant as saying that the singer was taken to between seven and eight hospitals before his death.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have prompted calls for clarity, while public figures have reportedly threatened legal action over claims linking them to the death.

As of the information provided in the report, Ademola’s demand centres on ensuring that the investigation proceeds without interference and that the relevant authorities establish the facts surrounding the singer’s death.
