In a recent appearance on the AFRIMMA Podcast, Smash opened up about the deep-seated tension between the famous Okoye twins, Peter and Paul, describing their long-running fallout as more than just personal—it’s spiritual.

“I’m closer to Paul than Peter,” Smash said. “But I always go to Peter’s house, and he listens to me. Still, if you ask me as someone close to them, I will say that problem is spiritual.”

Smash revealed he once confronted Paul about the unusual nature of their feud, and surprisingly, Paul agreed.

“The last time I met Paul, I told him his problem with his brother wasn’t normal—that it’s spiritual. And he agreed.”

Fans of P-Square will recall how the duo dominated the African music scene for over a decade with smash hits and global tours.

Their shocking split in 2017 left many heartbroken.

Although they briefly reconciled in 2021, the relationship has remained visibly strained, despite public appearances and performances.

Smash added emotional weight to his comments by reminding listeners of how close-knit the brothers were at their peak.

“If you knew how these guys worked—Paul, Peter, and even Jude—you’d feel really bad about what’s happening today.”

The P-Square spiritual rift sheds new light on a saga fan have long speculated about but never fully understood.

Smash’s insights, coming from someone within their circle, suggest that the issues may not be fixable with conversations alone.
