According to the pastor, the incident occurred while the singer was expecting their second child, later born in 2025, when she suddenly felt unwell after leaving their bedroom for their son’s room before collapsing.

He explained that the situation quickly escalated after Chinwo failed to respond following the fall, prompting panic within the household as efforts were made to stabilise her condition.

The pastor revealed that he immediately contacted gospel minister and cleric Nathaniel Bassey for urgent spiritual intervention.

He said Bassey requested a video call to assess the situation and subsequently arrived with members of the Hallelujah Challenge prayer team.

Mercy Chinwo’s pregnancy health crisis, as described by Uzochikwa, saw the singer regain consciousness after prayers were offered, an outcome he characterised as deeply spiritual in nature.

“Pastor Nath is a blessing to my family. We talk all the time, and I am honoured to have access to him,” Uzochikwa said, recalling how quickly assistance was mobilised during the incident.

He added that Chinwo’s condition was alarming at the time, noting that her face appeared dark and she was unresponsive before the intervention took place.
