Kylian Mbappe accuses PSG of moral harassment in a legal complaint that has sparked a formal investigation, according to confirmation from the Paris prosecutor’s office on Thursday.

The French football star, who now plays for Real Madrid, claims his former club sidelined him unfairly during the 2023–24 season.
The 26-year-old forward is also in a legal battle with Paris Saint-Germain over €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses, which he says the club failed to honour.
His latest complaint focuses on the club’s decision to exclude him from regular team activities, forcing him to train with players marked for departure after he declined to extend his contract.
Mbappe alleges this treatment was punitive and unjust. He was also left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia and omitted from the squad for the opening match of the season.
No player should be isolated or punished for making a professional decision dignity must remain in football.
He returned to the team only after crisis talks with senior club officials.
His claim reflects a growing concern among professional footballers in France, where similar cases of ostracisation have led the French players’ union to file its own complaints over club practices targeting non-compliant players.
Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid last summer after seven seasons with PSG, remains one of the sport’s most prolific attackers.
He scored 256 goals in 308 appearances for the French giants.
“This kind of treatment sets a dangerous precedent,” a source close to Mbappe said. “It’s not just about contracts, but respect for professional athletes.”

PSG have yet to issue an official response. The legal process is expected to continue over the coming months.
