In a recent interview, Fido reflected on his admiration for Kizz Daniel’s influence and artistry. He also revealed that this deep respect inspired him to collaborate with the superstar on the remix of his breakout hit single, ‘Joy’.

“Kizz Daniel is one of the greatest artists in Nigeria. He has made such an impact for us in the music industry and for Afrobeat across the world,” Fido said passionately.

The collaboration, which has already been well received, was described by Fido as a gift to his fans, many of whom had been anticipating a joint track between the two artists.

“Everybody has been asking when they were going to see me and Kizz do a song together. I was like, okay, I’m going to surprise my fans. I give fans what they want and I like to make sure that they’re satisfied,” he added.

For Fido, it’s more than a career move—it’s a statement about honoring legacy while building his own.
