Isbae U Thanks Obasanjo After YouTube Milestone of 1.6m Views in 24 Hours

The Isbae U Obasanjo podcast hit 1.6 million YouTube views in 24 hours and later passed two million, the creator said on Instagram

Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi, the content creator known as Isbae U, thanked Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, after their Isbae U Obasanjo interview on the podcast Curiosity Made Me Ask passed 1.6 million YouTube views within 24 hours.

He posted the update on Instagram on Sunday, 20 September 2026. By the time the milestone was reported on Monday, 21 September, the episode had gone past two million views.

He called the result evergreen and treated the former president’s appearance as an act of humility.

“A big Thank you to His Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo aka Sege Boy, for being humble enough to sit with me while I interviewed him on the biggest platform,” he wrote.

He also thanked Charles Oputa, the entertainer known as Charly Boy or Areafada, for backing the project from start to finish.

He then asked followers who should sit in the chair next.

The post drew warm replies. One viewer said it was a first watch of the show. Another called it divine visibility. A third said they had played the interview four times.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has not, in the coverage of the Instagram post, issued a separate public comment on the view count.

For a former head of state to sit with a skit maker is still unusual enough to explain the rush of clicks. The numbers now give Isbae U a public marker, and they give the next guest a high bar.
