Veteran Nollywood actor Harry B Anya has made a heartfelt appeal to members of the Nigerian film industry and the public to support actress Maureen Okpoko, who has been living with sight loss for several years.

The appeal was made in a video shared online on Monday, 3 August 2026, in which Harry B appeared alongside Maureen Okpoko while urging fellow actors and actresses to rally around their colleague during her health challenge.

Speaking in the video, Harry B said Maureen Okpoko’s condition could improve with appropriate medical treatment, stressing that financial support was needed to make that possible.

According to the actor, the veteran actress requires assistance to access the care that could help restore her vision.

“Please, I am calling on all our colleagues and every well-meaning Nigerian to come to her aid. With the right treatment, she can see again. She only needs our support,” Harry B said in the emotional appeal.
