Music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has dismissed allegations that his record label, Mavin Records, favours certain artistes over others in promotion and opportunities.

Don Jazzy speaks on Mavin Records bias controversy was addressed during a recent appearance on the Crea8torium podcast, where the producer strongly rejected suggestions of unequal treatment within the label.

He argued that it would be illogical for a record company to invest heavily in artistes and then deliberately neglect them while promoting others.

He maintained that all artistes under Mavin Records are given equal opportunity to release music and benefit from promotional support, depending on their own decisions and readiness.

According to him, artistes who appear less active or release fewer songs are often responsible for their output levels rather than any lack of support from the label.

The music executive also suggested that misconceptions about preferential treatment may stem from imposter syndrome and overthinking among some artistes, who sometimes misinterpret internal processes.

The artist further emphasised that Mavin Records operates as a structured business, where investment is made with the expectation of growth and returns from all signed talents.
