BNXN, Sarz Impress With New EP Debut Success

BNXN and Sarz release The Game Needs Us EP, which debuts at No. 2 on Apple Music Nigeria and earns strong early fan reactions

Nigerian singer Daniel Benson, known professionally as BNXN, and record producer Osabuohien Osaretin, popularly called Sarz, have released a joint extended play titled The Game Needs Us, which debuted on May 11, 2026, and quickly climbed to number two on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums Chart.

The five-track project marks another collaboration between the duo, building on earlier works such as Gwagwalada and Pidgin & English, which helped establish their creative chemistry in the Afrobeats scene.

The EP had been preceded by the release of its lead single Back Outside in late April, which generated anticipation among fans and set expectations for the full project.

BNXN, who rose to prominence after a freestyle caught Zlatan Ibile’s attention, has since built a strong catalogue including UK-charting singles like Finesse and Propeller, alongside his award-winning solo work.

Sarz, one of Afrobeats’ most influential producers, has worked with top acts including Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Lojay, and is widely credited for shaping several contemporary Nigerian hits over the past decade.

The Game Needs Us runs for just over 15 minutes, reflecting a tight, focused structure that prioritises cohesion over length.

Early listener reactions suggest the project stays within familiar creative territory for both artistes, relying on polished production and established sound identity rather than experimentation.

Despite that, the reception has been largely positive, with fans praising the chemistry between BNXN and Sarz and the clean execution of the project.
