Chike Accuses Chioma Ochibili of Alleged Fraud after claiming he lost $20,000 in a business deal he says never existed

Chike, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, on Monday accused a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, of allegedly defrauding him of $20,000 in a failed business arrangement.

Chike made the allegation in a series of posts on the social media platform X, where the musician claimed that funds given for a business venture never produced the promised results.

The singer wrote that he had only recently realised he may have been deceived after the business opportunity presented to him allegedly failed to materialise.

“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief?” Chike wrote.

“That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money.”

Chike further claimed that the financial loss formed part of a larger sum of money circulating in the deal, adding that $20,000 of his personal earnings remained unrecovered.

“How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped,” the artist wrote, adding in a reflective remark that he could only laugh at himself for discovering the situation late.

Chike Accuses Chioma Ochibili of Alleged Fraud as the singer warned his followers and the wider public to avoid entering into business arrangements with the woman he accused of running a non-existent venture.

When some users asked about the exact nature of the business deal, Chike said the specific details were secondary to what he described as the central issue.

“Whatever business Chioma sells to you is not the issue,” the singer wrote.

“The big issue here is that the business does not even exist, which then equates to fraud.”

Chike also disclosed that he had begun taking steps to recover the money he said was lost in the transaction, though he did not provide details of any legal action.

As of Monday afternoon, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili had not publicly responded to the allegations made by the musician.
