Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, broke his silence on August 7, 2026, after months away from public view, sharing an emotional message to fans who continued to support him during his absence.

The entertainer addressed his followers through his WhatsApp channel, marking his first major public communication since reports surfaced that he was injured during a film production in Ogun State earlier in the year.

Reports in March indicated that Broda Shaggi was allegedly involved in a shooting incident while on a movie set around the Sango Ota bridge area of Ogun State.

He was said to have sustained an injury and received medical attention, although the actor did not publicly provide details about the incident.

In his latest message, Broda Shaggi breaks silence by expressing gratitude to fans who remained concerned about his wellbeing and continued to show support throughout his period away from entertainment activities.

“To everyone who’s still here… waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you,” he wrote.

The actor acknowledged that the loyalty of his supporters had been meaningful during what appeared to be a challenging period.

“I don’t think y’all truly understand how much that means to me. Even when I haven’t been able to show up the way I wanted to, knowing that y’all are still here has meant more than I can put into words,” he added.

While Broda Shaggi did not reveal further details about his experience or recovery process, he suggested that he would share more information when the time was right.

“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now… but I can’t. Not yet,” he said.

The comedian also hinted at a return to the entertainment scene, assuring fans that he was preparing for a comeback.

“Just know I haven’t forgotten about you, and I haven’t stopped thinking about the day I can finally come back and really be ME with y’all again,” he said.

He further promised that his return would come with renewed energy and creativity.

“And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” Broda Shaggi stated.
