Bovi Explains Why He Celebrates Divorce Cases

Bovi celebrates divorce cases, saying separation can offer relief when couples face unhealthy marriages

Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has revealed that he celebrates divorce cases, explaining that the end of some marriages can bring relief to one or both partners.

The stand-up comedian shared his views during a recent episode of The Moraya Show, where he discussed relationships, marriage and the challenges couples face.

Bovi said his reaction comes from the belief that some people remain in marriages where they struggle emotionally and personally.

The comedian explained that divorce can sometimes provide an opportunity for individuals to move away from situations that negatively affect their wellbeing.

“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or both people were not breathing well in the marriage. I will not suffer anybody, neither will I want anybody to suffer me,” Bovi said.

While expressing support for divorce in certain situations, Bovi stressed that separation should be considered a better option than remaining in a toxic marriage.

The comedian also reflected on his own marriage, noting that his 17-year journey with his wife has not always been easy.

Bovi, who got married at 29, said maintaining a marriage requires commitment and responsibility.

“That is not to say my marriage has been easy for 17 years. It has not. I got married at 29. I have been providing for 17 years nonstop,” he added.
