The backlash followed criticism from a social media user identified as Damola, who accused the actress of posting a video with “puffy red eyes” on the day of her latest film release to attract sympathy and boost viewership.

Responding during a live session, a visibly frustrated Ms Ademoye said her success is rooted in sustained effort, financial investment and professional commitment, not what she described as “pity parties.”

“Am I supposed to be battling people over stealing my film title and thumbnail? I organise proper photoshoots. I still pay for thumbnails and posters, only for someone to steal my hard work,” she said.

The Bimbo Ademoye critics response also shed light on behind-the-scenes challenges in film production, including copyright infringement and platform-related restrictions, which she said she often handles privately without public complaints.

“What bloody strategy? Do you think the way I would promote my film is to cry?” she added.

The actress revealed that production setbacks affected her output in the past year, noting that she had planned to release six films but completed only four due to internal challenges she chose not to disclose publicly.

“I am a very strong woman; I don’t need pity,” she said, underscoring her determination to maintain professional standards despite obstacles.
