Nigerian content creator and entrepreneur Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has revealed that she is no longer a supporter of Chelsea Football Club, saying she gradually fell out of love with the English side for emotional reasons.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ashmusy admitted that although she once followed football closely and supported Chelsea, her interest in the sport has faded over time.
“I used to support Chelsea, but after a while, emotionally, I pulled out. I got interested in some other things,” she said.
The influencer disclosed that her sporting passion has now shifted to padel, describing it as the game she enjoys playing the most.
According to her, she occasionally plays tennis but has become much more invested in padel, adding that it is the only sport she would consider pursuing professionally because of her growing love for it.
Ashmusy also praised Super Falcons captain Rashidat Ajibade, describing the Nigerian footballer as a disciplined leader who has earned her admiration through hard work and perseverance.
She said Ajibade’s success in women’s football is particularly inspiring because she has excelled in a field that is often dominated by men.
“She has put in the work and sacrificed a lot. She is disciplined and a good leader, so I’m proud of her and I admire her,” Ashmusy said.
Beyond her admiration for Ajibade, Ashmusy urged Nigerian athletes to invest more in building their personal brands, arguing that social media offers an opportunity for sports stars to gain wider recognition beyond their respective disciplines.
