Afeez Abiodun on Mide Martins: Nollywood actor says wife is calm, gentle, and nothing like the fiery roles she plays on screen

Afeez Abiodun on Mide Martins has offered fans a refreshing look into the real-life personality of the popular Nollywood actress.

In a recent interview, the actor and filmmaker revealed that his wife, often known for playing fierce or dramatic characters on screen, is in fact calm, reserved, and peaceful in reality.

“She’s the opposite of what people see on TV,” Abiodun said, emphasizing that he has never had to break up any fight involving Mide on or off set.

“She would rather get into her car and drive off than engage in any fight.”

According to Abiodun, Mide Martins’ off-screen demeanor is worlds apart from her on-screen persona.

Her grace under pressure and refusal to engage in conflict stand in stark contrast to the bold and sometimes confrontational characters she often portrays.

The revelation comes as a surprise to many fans who might assume that Mide’s fiery acting style reflects her actual personality.

During the same interview, Abiodun also discussed fellow actress Wunmi Toriola, drawing a line between her real-life character and film roles.

“Wunmi’s character is a bit similar to her role in movies,” he noted. “If you don’t look for her trouble she won’t fight you, but if you trespass, she will act exactly as you see in movies.”
