The AAU Alumni Leadership in Lagos State has transitioned with the election of a new Executive Council for the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Alumni Association, Lagos State Chapter.

This recent election, held on June 15, 2025, at Adna Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, showcased a transparent and peaceful process, fully adhering to the association’s constitution.

The event marks a significant moment for the large alumni body in the bustling city.

The newly elected officials include Barrister A.R.T. Omuvwie as Chairman, Lady Adesua Ogidi as Vice Chairman, and Andrew Enegbeta Obiazi as Secretary, among other dedicated members.

These individuals now carry the mandate to steer the association’s affairs for the upcoming tenure. Their selection reflects the trust and confidence placed in them by their fellow alumni members.

In a brief but symbolic ceremony, the immediate past chairman, Reverend Samuel Okotete, officially handed over leadership to the new Executive Council.

This seamless transition highlighted the association’s commitment to continuity and orderly governance. The new Chairman, Barrister Omuvwie, expressed profound gratitude for the trust bestowed upon him.

He publicly promised to lead the association with openness, unwavering commitment, and a renewed spirit of service, setting a clear tone for his tenure.

The Lagos State Chapter remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing the legacy of Ambrose Alli University.

A representative of the National Executive Council (NEC) observed the election proceedings.
