Uriel Oputa dating Nigerian men is tough, she says, due to unrealistic expectations and a lack of commitment from men despite women’s beauty and maturity
Uriel Oputa dating Nigerian men has become a point of frustration for the former Big Brother Naija star, who recently voiced her struggles with finding meaningful relationships.
Speaking on Outside The Box Podcast, Uriel described Nigerian men as “complicated,” claiming that many fail to appreciate what they have.
“It’s hard to date a Nigerian man, I don’t understand why you people are so complicated,” she said. “You will see women who are 35, 40, 41, 42, and they are still single despite their beauty. Why? What’s happening?”
She blamed a widespread mentality among Nigerian men, one she believes discourages commitment and encourages endless searching for something better.
“It’s hard to find a decent man in Nigeria. Nigerian men have a cultural belief that there’s always something better. There’s nothing better,” she added.
Her comments have sparked renewed debate on the pressures of modern relationships in Nigeria.
