In a candid Instagram post, Eaglet shared the financial struggles he faced while living in Austria, saying that the exorbitant cost of living pushed him to move back home.

“I’m not discouraging anyone from travelling — you have to travel to understand,” he wrote.

“But when you make it abroad, consider coming back home and investing in Nigeria.”

Eaglet broke down his typical monthly expenses in Austria:

  • €1,700 for rent
  • €240 for electricity
  • €400 for health insurance

“These expenses were just too much. It had become unsustainable,” he explained.

He praised his wife, Jenny Slimzy, for supporting his decision to return, recounting her words:

“Anywhere you go, I will follow you. Honey, what are we even still doing here? I’m even bored here, let’s go back to our country.”

He described her as a “caring, loving and understanding wife,” and credited her with making the transition smoother.

Since returning, Eaglet says he’s enjoying financial freedom, emotional peace, and a more comfortable lifestyle.

“Now I sleep like a baby. No more unnecessary bills or stress,” he said.

Eaglet also addressed Nigerians in the diaspora, especially men over 50, noting that many secretly wish to return home but are held back by family obligations or fear of instability.
