She emphatically stated that there are abundant potential partners available in the world, urging people not to settle.

Speaking during a recent episode of her popular podcast, Makinwa advised her listeners to actively pursue partners who genuinely meet their expectations instead of yielding to societal pressure or succumbing to judgment from others.

She directly challenged the pervasive trend of shaming individuals for their preferences, including explicit financial expectations within relationships.

Makinwa argued that it is far more productive to simply move on from a situation rather than to criticize what doesn’t align with one’s personal values.

“There’s no need to attack someone for wanting more,” she asserted. “If their standard doesn’t suit you, keep it moving. There are billions of people in the world.”

Makinwa also critically examined the prevalent culture of online arguments and public judgment concerning personal relationship choices.

She suggested that such behaviour often stems from an individual’s own insecurity rather than any real fault in the person being judged.

There’s no need to attack someone for wanting more. If their standard doesn’t suit you, keep it moving. There are billions of people in the world.

Makinwa elaborated, saying: “Don’t need to lower your standards. Honestly, if this, listen, there are over a billion people in this world, right? You can go and find somebody who has what you’re looking for. Stop letting society dictate.”

She further illustrated her point with a direct example: “If you say, oh, this girl is a money-hungry b!tch. All she wants is a man to pay her bills.

If you can’t pay her bills, leave.

There’s another guy who does what he’s looking for.

I feel like we make things harder than it is with fighting online and our opinions, and trying to shout on top of each other.

If somebody is not what you’re looking for, cease the urge to start trying to pinpoint what is wrong with them, because it’s actually a reflection of you and not them. That’s what they want out of their lives.

After all, there are people who wake up in the morning and believe that, you know what, I’m the best thing since sliced bread.
