The 21-year-old reality star was presented with a ₦90 million cash prize and a brand-new Hyundai Sports Utility Vehicle at a prize presentation ceremony held at the MultiChoice studio in Ilupeju, Lagos, on Tuesday.

The presentation came just two days after Temi was crowned winner of the “Show Ya Sef” edition of the show, bringing the excitement of her victory into a new phase as she begins life outside the Big Brother house.

Temi, whose full name is Temitope Chigbue, emerged at the top of a fiercely contested finale after securing 25.87 per cent of the final votes.

She defeated Aikou, who finished as the first runner-up with 23.68 per cent, while Sheba placed third with 9.80 per cent. Her winning margin over Aikou was 2.19 percentage points.

The victory made Temi the fifth female winner in the history of Big Brother Naija, following Mercy Eke, who won in 2019, Phyna in 2022, Ilebaye in 2023 and Imisi in 2025.

Her full grand prize package is valued at ₦160 million and includes the ₦90 million cash component, the new SUV and other prizes provided by the show’s sponsors.

The cash prize was reduced from the original ₦100 million after ₦10 million was allocated to the Most Influential Player of the Week, MIPOW, prize fund.

At the presentation, Temi appeared visibly excited as the vehicle and its keys were formally handed over to her by representatives of the show’s sponsors.

She was also joined by some of her fellow Season 11 housemates at the ceremony, which marked the formal presentation of the headline rewards she earned after 70 days in the competition.

Temi has already begun thinking beyond the excitement of winning the money.

In an interview after the presentation, the Accounting and Finance student revealed that she intends to invest a substantial portion of her ₦90 million, complete her university education and support her parents.

She also said she planned to set aside some of the money for herself, including taking a holiday after her lengthy stint in the reality show.

“I will be investing a very big sum of my money because obviously, if everybody already knows, I already said that I studied a degree in Accounting and Finance,” Temi said.

The London-born Nigerian added that she wanted to use her financial knowledge to make the prize work for her rather than simply spend it.

“I want to get my money to grow. I’m going to finish my uni. I’m going to go back to my studies,” she said.

Temi also plans to spend more time in Nigeria, where she hopes to explore opportunities created by her new public profile.

She said she wants to remain in the country for at least two years, build on the opportunities available to her and develop her presence through content creation and other ventures.

Her victory followed a dramatic 10-week competition involving 24 housemates, with the season featuring nominations, evictions, Head of House contests, relationships, confrontations and several twists.

Temi became one of the most prominent personalities in the house through her outspoken and unpredictable character, while her diary-room appearances and interactions with other housemates kept her firmly in the spotlight.

She also recorded a notable individual achievement by winning a Friday Night Arena Game, a moment she later described as one of the highlights of her stay in the house.

Reflecting on her approach to the competition, Temi said much of what viewers saw was simply her personality rather than a carefully constructed strategy.

“I would say maybe 30 per cent was a game, 70 per cent was actually me genuinely being curious,” she said.

Her win has now given her both the BBNaija crown and a substantial financial platform as she prepares to return to her studies and pursue new opportunities out

side the house.
