Spending, a close friend of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has publicly denied rumours suggesting he is the biological father of Mohbad’s son, Liam.

Speculation began after a post showing a resemblance between Spending and the child went viral, prompting widespread debate and online gossip.

In a statement posted to his Instagram story, Spending refuted the claim, labelling it false and damaging. He made it clear he had no ties to Liam’s mother and urged the public to stop spreading misinformation.

“I’ve been seeing several bloggers insinuating I’m Liam’s father. This is not a joke for real! To set the record straight, I’m not his father and I never had any affectionate relationship with his mother. Y’all need to stop spreading these false narratives,” he wrote.

To further dismiss the rumours, Spending said he would be open to taking a DNA test if required.

“I’m happy to have a DNA test done if required,” he added.
