Known for his energetic sermons and bold claims of divine authority, the founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry is now at the centre of a criminal investigation.

The Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) confirmed his arrest and ongoing detention. Sources within the department said the pastor is accused of using his spiritual status to sexually assault the teenage girl.

The alleged incident has stirred outrage, especially among those who once trusted him as a spiritual leader.

His church, located behind Noble Noel Academy and opposite Gwagwalada Market, has long been a popular place of worship. Until recently, Pastor Isah remained active on social media, sharing posts on morality, righteousness, and fatherhood.

In one of his most recent posts, he spoke of the courage needed to stand for God in a dark world.

Despite his public image of holiness, law enforcement sources told SaharaReporters that he allegedly exploited his influence to manipulate and harm a minor.

His last confirmed appearance at church was on Wednesday, 18 June 2025. By the following day, a service was held, but he was conspicuously absent from the pulpit.

Efforts to reach him for comment have failed, and he has not answered calls to his phone. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that some police officers may be trying to suppress the case, possibly to shield the pastor from public exposure.

Activists warn that such actions risk undermining justice.

Local residents expressed shock over the arrest, with one saying, “No title or pulpit should protect anyone from the law.” Investigators are handling the case discreetly due to its sensitive nature and the suspect’s prominence in the community.

As the investigation continues, many are calling for transparency and justice for the young victim. The case has once again raised urgent questions about the abuse of religious authority in Nigeria and the importance of protecting vulnerable children from predatory behaviour.
