Controversial Nigerian singer and entertainer, Speed Darlington, has stirred widespread reactions after announcing a N5 million cash offer to any woman willing to have a child for him, in a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday in Lagos, Nigeria.

Speed Darlington child offer worth N5m was revealed during a livestream-style video in which the 42-year-old artiste claimed he had increased his previous offer of N3 million after failing to find a suitable partner two years ago.

The singer stated that his earlier attempt did not yield results, adding that the women he encountered were not within his preferred age bracket, prompting him to revise the offer upwards.

In the video, the singer insisted that he is not seeking marriage, stressing that his interest is solely in fathering a child under specific arrangements.

He further added that he prefers a non-Igbo woman, claiming personal reservations about women from his ethnic group, a remark that has already generated mixed reactions online.

Speed Darlington N5m child proposal controversy offer also included his preference for a woman aged between 20 and 24, with the singer stating that interested individuals should contact him directly via social media.

Speed Darlington maintained that the arrangement would not involve cohabitation or traditional marital commitments, describing it as a straightforward agreement focused only on childbirth.

The announcement has sparked renewed debate across social media platforms, with users expressing both criticism and disbelief at the singer’s comments and conditions.
