Actors Peggy Ovire and Taye Arimoro reportedly clashed on a movie set, with both trading accusations over a violent on-set confrontation

Nollywood actors Taye Arimoro and Peggy Ovire have become the subject of heated controversy after a reported physical altercation occurred on a film set.

Arimoro, who streamed part of the incident live on Instagram, alleged that the confrontation began when he attempted to leave the set after his agreed working hours had expired.

According to him, Peggy Ovire and members of her production team blocked his car and assaulted him, leaving him with injuries to his gum and lips.

However, in a swift response, Peggy Ovire denied the allegations, accusing Arimoro of being the aggressor. She claimed the actor attacked two crew members after being asked to stay a little longer to complete pending scenes.

“Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice. They were only begging you to complete two short scenes so we could wrap up the night,” she wrote.

Ovire further alleged that when the production manager tried to mediate, Arimoro punched him three times, leaving him on the floor before the situation escalated between both actors’ drivers.

She added that her driver was injured and bled from the ear, but denied ordering anyone to block Arimoro’s vehicle.

“You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I gave you space. Later, when the production manager approached you, you got physical with him,” she said.

Both sides have shared differing versions of the incident, sparking debate among fans and industry colleagues online.

As of press time, no formal police report has been confirmed, and the production company involved has yet to issue an official statement.
