Blessing CEO defends Rita Daniels over Regina’s marriage to Ned Nwoko, saying mothers shouldn’t be blamed for their adult children’s life decisions.

Blessing CEO has come to the defence of Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, amid ongoing public criticism surrounding Regina’s marriage to billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko.

Many Nigerians have accused Rita of allegedly encouraging her daughter to marry the much older lawmaker, who already has several wives. But Blessing CEO argued that blaming mothers for their adult children’s choices is unfair and misplaced.

Taking to Instagram, the controversial relationship therapist said:

“Can we stop this rubbish, ‘Na the mama naim I blame’? Can you shut up! At what age did you become a rebel? At what age did you start sneaking out of the house to see a man? At wha

t age did you get pregnant?”

Drawing from her own teenage experiences, Blessing CEO explained that young people often make decisions against their parents’ advice.

“At the age of 15, I nor dey hear word. My parents would flog me to stupor. When I decided to marry, my mother begged me. My father even woke me by 3am to plead with me not to go ahead. They did everything, but I still went,” she said.

Blessing CEO maintained that parents cannot be held responsible for every life choice their grown children make, stressing that maturity comes with independent decision-making.

She also criticised Nigerians for mocking Regina Daniels after the actress reportedly opened up about personal challenges in her marriage.

“You people tell women to speak out, and when they do, you start mocking them. You can’t have it both ways,” she wrote.

Concluding her remarks, Blessing CEO urged Nigerians to show empathy and stop judging others’ family decisions.
