Omilana Wedding Lights Up Lagos With Elegant Three-Day Event

The Omilana wedding in Lagos blended culture and elegance as dignitaries gathered for a grand three-day celebration hosted by Dr Ahmed Omilana

Dr Ahmed Omilana, a respected physician and entrepreneur, hosted an elaborate three-day wedding ceremony in Lagos for his son, Nurudeen Omilana, and his bride, Adebimpe Adeniyi, drawing prominent personalities from across Nigeria in a display of culture, elegance and celebration.

The Omilana wedding culminated on Saturday at Marcellina’s Event Centre in the GRA area of Ikeja, following earlier ceremonies that included an Arabian-themed Nikkai held on January 29 and a vibrant traditional engagement that honoured Yoruba customs and values.

The union celebrated a love story spanning more than a decade.

Nurudeen Omilana and Adebimpe Adeniyi met during their student days at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and their relationship matured over the years, including time spent together in the United Kingdom.

Determined to honour the depth of the couple’s bond, Dr Omilana ensured the ceremonies were meticulously planned and memorable.

His approach reflected the same strategic vision he brings to his role as Executive Vice Chairman of FitPlus Health Care Limited.

Serving as the driving force behind the Strategic Plan of Action Committee, Dr Omilana infused the celebrations with cultural depth, proudly reflecting his Ibarapa roots in Oyo State.

A powerful highlight was the performance by the Ibarapa Tapa cultural ensemble, which added heritage and colour to the festivities.

The atmosphere throughout the events was warm and lively, strengthened by the presence of friends, associates and leaders from various sectors.

Guests were treated to a spirited performance by Fuji music icon Dr Adewale Ayuba, whose energetic delivery captivated the audience.

A carefully curated selection of gourmet cuisine, premium wines, fine cognac and vintage beverages further elevated the experience, creating moments of bonding and celebration among attendees.

Distinguished guests included Oba Sunday Oyekanmi Titiloye, the Elempe of Tapaland; Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh; the Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Seyi Jakande; the Chairman of Ibarapa North LCDA, Lateef Adebare; and Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers.
