Trolls criticised her skin tone, prompting her to respond: “My skin’s my superpower — dark, bold, unapologetic.” She amplified her message through CuppyMelaninMagic, supporting skin-positivity organisations across West Africa.

Music star Ayra Starr faced backlash over fashion choices from the start of her career.

Trolls criticised her attire at a 2022 concert, but she defiantly responded on social media and in subsequent music releases, reinforcing her message of self-expression and empowerment.

Actress Etinosa Idemudia confronted postpartum body-shaming after giving birth in 2020.

In videos and interviews, she challenged critics while emphasising the physical realities of pregnancy and health conditions like PCOS.

Moyo Lawal endured severe online harassment after an ex-partner leaked an intimate video in 2023.

The incident escalated into threats, pushing Lawal into a year-long break from Nollywood.

She later returned with Curvy Queens, a film celebrating body acceptance, and became an advocate for digital consent and personal boundaries.
